Tile Mural of American Ship on wall of Kannai Subway Station in Yokohama

On the wall of the Kannai subway stop in Yokohama, there is a painted tile mural of an American sailing ship. To my eyes, this evokes an image of the Commodore Perry's Black Ships that arrived in Urago Harbor in 1853 but returned in 1854 to anchor where Yokohama now resides. Key attributes are the black hull and the black smoke arising from smokestack just forward of the middle mast, but it would have been more clear if there had been 4 (or 8 for the 1954 return) ships represented.
